EXECUTIVE STANDARDS
All Aluminum conductor (AAC), All Aluminum Alloy Conductor (AAAC) and Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced (ACSR) are stranded together and conform to IEC 61089
APPLICATION
AAC, AAAC, ACSR are usually used in coastal or rural region because it has a high degree of corrosion resistance. They are widely used as overhead high tension transmission lines.
CONSTRUCTION
Conductor
Aluminum, Aluminum alloy, Aluminum, steel.
AAC is made up of concentric-lay-stranded aluminum wires only.
AAAC is a non-magnetic material, is suitable for transmission lines where corona and radio interference is a major consideration.
ACSR is a composite, concentrically stranded conductor in which the light weight and good conductivity of Aluminum are combined with the high tensile strength of steel. It’s composed of one or more layers of hard-drawn aluminum wires helically stranded around an inner core of high strength zinc—coated steel wires.
